I’ve been a professional woodworker since the early 1970s, working on a variety of projects from Arts & Crafts furniture reproductions to custom cabinetry and architectural woodwork. I’m the author of several books, and was executive editor of Popular Woodworking Magazine from 2004-2014.

I teach a few courses every year. Students in my classes have built workbenches, Stickley reproductions and the infamous Chinese stool that was featured on the cover of the Winter 2009 issue of the now defunct Woodworking Magazine. Click here to read about upcoming classes.

I maintain a woodworking blog on this site, and you can follow me on Facebook or Google+.
