Weekend SketchUp Class April 27-28 at SBWI

Bob Lang teaches SketchUpBob Lang SketchUp class at SBWII will be returning to the campus of the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute the weekend of April 27-28, 2024 to teach a two-day class on 3D Modeling with SketchUp. This is a great facility with wonderful folks and if learning how to use SketchUp is on your bucket list, come and join me in southern Michigan. Bring your laptop (or desktop if you’re so inclined) and get up to speed in this versatile and powerful design, engineering, planning and presentation software. My two-day presentation will get you past the hurdles most new SketchUp users face. If you’re new to SketchUp you will get a head start and if you have some experience you’ll head for home with a new bag of tricks. Learning a new skill requires practice and my class is designed to give you efficient techniques that make the process much like working in your shop, but without the noise and saw dust. Knowing how to make a good model lets you head to the shop with all the information you need to successfully complete your next project.

In class my computer will be hooked up to a big screen so you will easily see where to click and why. Learning software is much like learning a new language and I’ll explain how to get around like a native. I provide several handouts and as you practice I’ll be looking over your shoulder to make sure you’re understanding best practices and getting the most out of class. I’ll also have my books available, including a new revision of Woodworker’s Guide to SketchUp, in printed format for the first time ever.

As of today there is still space available in this class, but I encourage you to visit the school website and sign up today. If you have a question for me about this class, click my signature below to send me an email. The Sam Beauford Woodwork Institute is in Adrian, Michigan and they offer a bunch of great classes including a woodworking career program. Click Here to learn more about SBWI.
