  2. These instructions do not give me the results I need. My diagram is small – measuring 4 1/16″ by 2 3/8″ yet Sketchup wants to give me a tiled printout. How do I fix this?

  3. My guess is you should try resizing the window as mentioned above. If there is more than one sheet’s worth of space on screen, SketchUp will tile to additional pages. If you want to e-mail me a copy of your model, I can take a look.

  4. Tired this multiple times using a Mac. It doesn’t even seem to come close so I don’t know how this could be used for printing a pattern. For example, draw a 1″ x 1″ box and it prints out 1.5″ x 1.5″, 18mm x 53mm prints as 26mm x 76mm

    • The dialogue boxes on a Mac appear different, but the procedure is the same, and it does work. Make sure your printer is set to “actual size” or “no scaling” and follow the steps at this link.

It’s been a while since I’ve had access to a make, but I recall that setting the scale can be fussy. You need to click in both boxes then in another box to make the scale stick. If you’re doing all of the steps and still having trouble, somewhere in you’re printer’s properties it is set to scale the image.

Here is a link to an old blog post that shows the process on a Mac.
