  1. On a MacBook Pro with a multi-touch pad, you can press control + command keys, then tap and drag on the touch pad to orbit. Add the shift key to pan. This should work regardless of which tool you’re using at the time.

    • One thing I should have mentioned is that the navigation commands are transparent, they work in the middle of other commands.

      While it is possible to work with SketchUp on a laptop’s track pad, I highly recommend that you go get a mouse. A cheap one will do just fine, and your speed in SketchUp will increase dramatically.
