DXF Files for Craftsman Inlays & Hardware

Drawing files for the Craftsman Inlays & Hardware as seen in my book “Great Book of Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture” are now available for download in both DXF format and PDF format. These were originally published in 2004 as a companion to the print book “Shop Drawings for Inlays & Hardware” and sold on a CD sent through the mail. At that time the files names were keyed to the page numbers of the print book. The book is technically “out of print”, but copies are still available online. The entire book is also part of the “Great Book of Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture”. DXF files can be used in a lot of ways, particularly to generate the code read by CNC machines and laser cutters. If you want to reproduce or adapt these iconic designs that adorned Gustav Stickley (and some Stickley Brothers) furniture in the early 1900s these files will give you a running start. PDF files can also be used by some software for CNC or lasers. Those are also included, and if you prefer to work by hand you can print the PDFs at actual size.

In addition to the inlays, there are also patterns for the hand hammered copper hardware used in Craftsman furniture. In some Stickley pieces what appear to be strap hinges are actually decorative straps used in conjunction with good old butt hinges, as in the Gustav Stickley No. 814 sideboard. Those are included as well as vertical and horizontal pulls.

When you purchase, you will receive two emails. One will be your PayPal receipt and the other will contain a unique link to download a .zip file containing all of the files in both dxf and pdf format.
