SketchUp Resources for Teachers

One of the most flattering things that can happen to an author is an inquiry asking “Can I use your book as a resource for my class?” It makes me feel a little proud and it also makes me want to help students and teachers out. SketchUp is a powerful design, engineering and problem solving tool and while it is easier to learn than many similar programs, it takes some time to master. When I teach, nearly every student wants a copy of “Building Blocks of SketchUp“, “Woodworker’s Guide to SketchUp” or both books.

SKP_BundleThat provides a great reference (fully searchable and easy to use while working with SketchUp) to the techniques, tools and tricks for efficient modeling. The embedded videos provide an example of where and when to click and are a great refresher when going back to review a topic. In the past few months I’ve been getting enough inquiries from teachers who want to base their classes on my books.

It’s okay with me to base your class on my work, but I would appreciate being given credit for what I’ve created. And if you contact me directly your students can get these unique references at a special price. Get in touch (click on my name at the end of this post to send me an e-mail) and we will work out the details. If you would like to discuss a bulk purchase or license agreement for your school, send me an e-mail to get the conversation started.
