A Few Spots Available in Denver SketchUp Class

Rockler logoThe weekend of January 30-31 I will be conducting a two-day SketchUp class in Denver, Colorado at the Rockler Woodworking & Hardware store.

COMPLETE DETAILS ABOUT THE CLASS ARE HERE

If you would like to participate, you are not too late. At the moment we still have a few seats available and you can sign up now by clicking on this link. SketchUp is my go-to tool before I head to the shop because when I make a model first I know exactly how any project will go together. I solve design and engineering problems without wasting valuable materials with a few clicks of the mouse and I arrive in the shop with detailed information about every part and every joint. I see how the finished product will look from any angle and I can show others as well. The finished model contains a wealth of information, and I can extract that information several ways; 3D drawings, 2D images or a detailed and accurate cutlist.

CH_13-ExplodeSMLearning how to use SketchUp takes some time and practice, but the result is better designs, better planning and more productive time in the shop. In class I’ll show you how to get over the hurdles most new SketchUp users struggle with, and I’ll show you the methods I use to make 3D modeling quick and easy.

There are a lot of ways to learn SketchUp, but nothing beats having an expert look over your shoulder and coaching you on your technique. I hope to see you in Denver at the end of the month.
