This two-day class is your opportunity to jump start your skills in SketchUp. Bring your laptop and get hands-on practice, personal coaching and a boost over the things that most SketchUp users struggle with. You’ll go home with the confidence to tackle your next project. I provide numerous handouts and because the class size is small I take the time to make sure that your questions are answered.
I’ve been teaching woodworkers (and others) how to work efficiently to develop designs, figure out how things go together and how to extract all the information you need to build for several years. No matter what your experience in SketchUp is, you will pick up tricks to make modeling efficient and fun, and we’ll draw a straight line across the SketchUp learning curve.
Project planning with SketchUp has several advantages over any other method. The key is to understand how things behave in the program and learn how to pretend you’re in the shop building. You’ll resolve problems without wasting valuable materials and you can see how things look from any angle. You can quickly make copies and experiment with variations. When the model is complete you can generate working drawings and get an accurate cutlist with just a few clicks of the mouse.
There are a lot of ways to learn SketchUp, but there is no better way to learn than a live class. Over the years I’ve learned to recognize the way different individuals learn, and what most people struggle with as they learn to make 3D models.
