SketchUp Classes for 2016

Bob Lang SketchUp Class 2016It’s just starting to look like fall here in Cincinnati, but I’m working on my teaching schedule for 2016. I’ll be announcing some classes soon, but in the meantime you can help me out in a couple of ways.

Here in Cincinnati (a manageable drive from almost everywhere this side of the Rocky Mountains) I’ve found a great place to hold classes, The Manufactory. We held a class there recently and will most likely return in 2016. The biggest question is “when should we hold a class?” followed by “how long should the class be? 2, 3, 4 or 5 days?” If you’d like to attend a class here in Cincinnati, leave a comment below (or send me an e-mail) with your answer to that question. Cost for these classes is $150/day/student.

I’m also available to teach privately for your group or organization, tailoring the class to your specific needs. If you’re a construction company, cabinet manufacturer, retail planner, interior design or architecture firm, I can come in for a few days and get your staff up to speed in 3D modeling with SketchUp. You’ll be able to develop renderings that make your clients say “WOW” and from the same model generate detailed information about all the bits and pieces that make up your projects. CLICK HERE TO GET IN TOUCH.

Outside of Cincinnati, I’m willing to go almost anywhere to teach. If you have a local club, or if there is a woodworking school or makerspace in your area, put them in touch with me, or me in touch with them. It’s difficult for me to do this at a distance, but your input can make it possible. Leave a comment (or send me an e-mail) with your suggestions.

  1. I think it would be great for you to try and schedule some classes in sunny Florida during the winter months next year.
I would like to see our Guild (CFWG.com) bring you in for a class.
But if you held a class down here somewhere close enough, I think a bunch of our guys would attend.

  2. How about some classes in Minneapolis, MN. Rockler might do it. I live in Wisc. But I would come.

  3. I am interested in a 2 -3 day class for beginners in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. Let me know if you offer any that might come up.

    • I’m trying to put something together for late May or early June. Anyone else interested in attending? Leave a comment or get in touch via e-mail.
